plate construction

plate construction

So I am on the StairMaster reading the book I purchased from Bob. I get to the part of the CAD drawing of the plate construction and was very confused about how the plates aren't all shorted out ...so I skipped ahead and found out they are put together with threade nylon rod, I didn't even know ther was such a thing.

I have the same book. If you follow the directions as given, you WILL be sucessful. I have built two of them and both are operating as he said they would.
