wire mesh for electrode.yes ? no ?why?

Postby uawwildbob on Thu Jan 15, 2009 11:56 am

I'm looking to build a generator using stainless steel; mesh instead of plates. I've seen some other's that have tried it and it looks like it might be a better way to go. Has anyone else tried it ?. I dont know if I should wast my time and money on it. I love to experiment but I live on a fixed income. Just cant aford to throw bucks away.then there's the PWM. I'm not gonna try to make one . cause they get hot cause they use a lot of juice. I figure why use the juice for that instead of to make more HHO. A'm I wrong ?

I would stay away from the majority of PWMs that are currently on offer. The state that they can handle 35 amps but if you check the connectors are 15 amp spades. That's the weak point and I have seen them in melt down. There are now some available (not cheap) that use screwed connectors and double wiring to reduce the power. They apparently go up to 50 amps, much too heavy in my opinion. I've seen one on ebay that supposedly handles 120 amps, that is very expensive somewhere about $650.

no a pwm only needs power to run the circuitry, it can be powered up from any ignition circuit in your car. What causes heat is the switching for the mosfets. a pwm controls the duty cycle of the cell through the negative wire not the positive wire, so the power used is the same as the power for the cell nothing more. All the heat and boil overs can be controled with out a problem just mix your electrolite for the amps that you want and use the pwm. do some research before posting. there are thousands of free plans all over the internet to build one easly that will eliminate all the problems that you guys are having. i have had my system installed on my lexus for a year now and dont have any of the problem that are mentioned here, and i will be glad to post another video on utube to show how its done. bottom line weather u buy one or build one get one, you will see the benifits, like all our parents said DONT KNOCK IT UNTILL YOU'VE TRIED IT
