Leaning the sensors for HHO start-up

Postby pdai11 on Sat Jul 18, 2009 8:49 pm

I have installed a dry cell in my ford but the first 10 minutes of driving, the fuel economy is terrible but once the engine has warmed up, the fuel economy is great until a HHO expert told me i need to lean the coolant temp sensor and the air intake sensors well as fitting an EFIE . I know that you require to fit a resistor or a potentiometer. Is there anyone generous enough to show how this is done ?

Hi Bill
Thanks for the link, i have already read and it is the best HHO forum site around, many members reply very promptbut i'm still looking for an answer on fitting a Pot in parallel to the CTS and how many ohms. Someone stated you need to place a resistor to use the pot but everywhere else, nobody mentioned about a resistor when fitting a pot. Any suggestion ?

i never noticed a difference with the resistor on the pot I just use the center as in the left as out and take the right pin to ground.

Hi Bill, does the pot have to be earthed ? and how many ohms did you dialed your pot to and at any time did you triggered the fan to come on constant even though your engine is cold ?

well on my car the cooling fan is hydrolic, and uses the pressure from the power steering to spin the fan, dont really like it, but i did not have to worry about turning it on with the pots, but I set my ECU Genie at 10k ohms for the iat sensor, and 25ohms for the maf sensor and a 3.9 ohm fixed value resistor for the ect sensor, that is what works well for my car, but you will just have to play with it untill yuo find the setting that works well for you.
