how many do I need

Postby puddlerduc on Sat Nov 29, 2008 10:15 pm

I'm currently installing a unit on my truck, but have been thinking of installing on my Gas 36' motorhome. How do you determine how many units that you'll need to install? I read an article about someone installing 6 bottles on a semi rig. I'd really appreciate any help you can offer.

Hey puddlerduc-
From what I've read, it is the general consensus that you need ONE Jar (generator) for each TWO Liters of engine size. But they say Two Jars in Series is more efficient than two jars standing alone. The more Jars you have in series, the more HHO produced and less amps drawn equals cooler operation with less evaporation of liquid. Are you confused yet?

hi,

i am looking to intall HHO into a one litre three cylinder toyota. does this present a problem if each jar is for two litres of engine? am i in danger of causing issues if there is to much HHO?

I don't think producing too much HHO has ever been an issue. Maybe you are one of the few who could use HHO all by itself. No, just kidding. The way I view HHO is that it is an Enhancer. In other words, the HHO is a fuel additive and any "extra" HHO would be just exhausted as excess moisture out the tailpipe.
The way I understand this deal is, the Fuel Injection System on our cars/trucks is designed to use too much fuel and therefor wastes gas, burning the unburned gas in the catalytic converter. So, if you add the HHO to a leaned down gas/air mixture, the HHO, which burns sooner and hotter, helps to ignite all of the gas injected into the cylinders. So I don't believe you should have a problem using One Jar to generate HHO.

It isn't the number of cells you have, its' the amount of gas they produce. 1 litre of gas per minute to each 2 litres of engine size. That's just a rule of thumb, a little bit more or less won't make a lot of difference.

I think the number of units required would depend upon the HHO output of the unit. Which brings up a couple of questions.... Does a unit consisting of two electrodes (or plates) produce half the volume of gas as a unit with 4 electodes? How is the output of the generator measured? Can you connect the output tube to a mercury column and measure pressure? Is it possible to insert a colored material into the gas output and time the filling of a 1 litre bottle?

daneff, try looking on you tube for some good ways to gauge the output of the generator, as for the plates, its a matter of plate arrangment and amps, different arrangments but same amps will give different results, like wise the other way, just play with the first one to get familiar with it
