Actual MPG increases?

Postby snippy on Thu Jul 09, 2009 9:53 pm

I've done some searching with no luck, but I was wondering if there's an area on this site where people list their cars and the mpg before and after adding an HHO system. I've heard a lot about the benefits of the system, but I'm a little perplexed by the lack of "real world" before and after testimonials. Maybe we can start a new thread here and people can contribute their success stories?

Thanks

Well Snippy I have nothing buy good results with my HHO set up. Not wanting to take a chance of a non running vehicle I used my old 59 pickup that I use for dump runs and the dirty work. In hind sight it might have been the best choice because it is so basic, no computer or sensors. I have had the old Ford (292 V8 in great shape) for 30+ years and have kept very good records of everything I do to it, including the fuel I put in. Now I have to consider that sometimes it will sit for weeks without even being started, so I am sure I loose a little gas through evaporation. My very unpresentable 59 will be with me the rest of my life, I knew that after keeping it for 20 years, so I am careful in checking everything on it. The milage has been a little different from summer to winter but it used to get about 17 MPG. My wife is angry with me because I want to drive it all the time now, I just love it @ about 30+MPG. I think I will be taking it to the body and paint shop for a face lift soon, so my wife will ride in it with me. Must be a guy thing. In the garage for hours drinking beer with a buddy while the truck is running and the air inside the garage is still good. I guess I could always put the HHO generators on our other two vehicles but they have computers, and besides now I just love driving the old 59.
