plain tab water???

Hello,

I am currently do a lot of research conceirning HHO cells and everything you need to build and use one.
And I see that almost everybody is using somesort of catalyst+distilled water, but you sometimes see a cell supposedly work with regular tab water, is this true, can for an example a drycell work with regular tab water?

I hope someone can either help me out of this dream or "proof" it to be right.

ok tap water can work, but all of the chemicals in the tap water will turn it in to brown sludge very fast during the electrolisis proses, you will get better results using distilled water and potasium hydroxide ( lye ) you can get it from any hardware store just look for drain cleaner
