Llew, You da' man. Been there done that, same as you. I don't take anybody's word for it! Built a generator after doing a lot of reading, Stainless Steal threaded rods, SS washers and SS nuts for spacing the washers, in a water bath. Use a dropper bottle of liquified baking soda to adjust the amperage up to 7 amps. I am getting 3/4 liter a minute and I think that is enugh for my old 292 V8 Ford. I went from 17 to 30+ MPG and I love my old truck. This srping it is off to the body and paint shop for a face lift. It works, it's fun and I am helping with the US's "Carbon Footprint". I do believe I will be getting a tax credit as well because I saved every receit.
