Ratio of + and - plates to neutral plates

Postby Tom on Mon Feb 08, 2010 10:20 am

Hello,
I have been expeimenting with HHO generators for a few months. I have built several dry cells and would like to know if anyone else out there has any information about the number of + and - plates are needed for the optimal system. I have asked several people who are trying to sell the units but so far no response. All they want to do is sell completed units and/or plans.

I built a 5" model with 2 +, 2 - and 15 neutral plates, 5 between eash set of power plates. Would I get more HHO production if I used 2+, 3- and 16 neutrals, 4 neutrals between each set of power plates?

Any information you might provide would be really appreciated. I will post the results and give credit where due.

Thank you,

Dr. Tom Santoro

Hi Tom,
I have never bought any HHO Products or plans but i use a 2:1 N||||P||||N style system which i seen on a you tube video. Not saying its the best ratio to go by but it is one of the more common ones I've seen also you should try wikipedia maybe that will help:- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oxyhydroge it states that 4:1 5:1 is used for welding in the order of Hydrogen : Oxygen not sure exactly how the plate configuration would be I am a beginner myself and was interested myself to find out what is best so i hope this will help you. Good Luck Hatchetman.

Hello,

I have talked to a few people who claim to know more than I do about HHO. It seems most find a greater output of hydrogen using 3 - and 2 + power plates with 4 hudrogen generating plates between. A total of 21 plates are used. I am going to put at least on together using this configuration and take a few measurements.

I wish to thank you for your reply. I posted that question months ago. Yours is the first and only reply. It seems most people in this field are not interested in giving anyone information that may take away from their profits.

I have also been facing another problem that no one will give me information about. I am having a hell of a time with foaming. I resorted to using swimming pool defoamer. It does help but after a few hundred miles the foam starts up again. Any suggestions??

Thanks again,

Tom

Hi Tom,
I am pretty much getting into HHO myself and if i can share a thing I've learned I am more than happy when i can help i only have 1 wet cell was going to build a dry cell but the plates I bought were not dense enough and started to rust so it was a waste of time and money buying them but at least i know now what type of steel i need. Anyway you have a problem with foaming. Do you use a bubbler it is recomened to use a bubbler with your generator and that should take care of any acid getting through, I think bubblers tend to fill up over time and it would be advise to create a type of over fill going back into the sytem to prevent water going straight into your application. What type of electrolyte are you using? I have heard that the ideal space between the plates is 1/32 inch what is the space between your plates?
Thanks Hatchetman
