Hi

I'm a new guy to this (or any other forum). I just finished building a set-up from Rob't Volk's E-book. Haven't run it yet 'cause I'm waiting for UPS to bring my electrolite chems from Art Chemical. I live in the boon-docks of west-central NM 160 miles from Albuquerque. I put my unit on my 97 s-10 Blazer. I'm building a bench-top unit so I can study it where I can see it in operation and just play with it in general. I have ordered O2 extenders and effie for my project but they too are in UPS-land. Can't wait to fire it up, but I bet I will. I am open to any and all advice and comments as I'm a new guy to HHO too...................ray 29nov08

Welcom----You joined about 4 hours after me and think there are about 60 guys ahead of us. In a month you and I will be some of the Old Timers on the Forum. Keep letting us know how you are doing.
What sort of Catalyst are you using? I'm geeting great results from Backing Soda, but would like something that doesn't corrode the Stainless Steel so much.

Yeah, I hear you about the "ole timers stuff". I will use potassium hydroxide if it ever gets here. UPS just ain't the same in the country as it is in the city...they only come out this way once or twice a week and usually dump our stuff in a steel box which has a broken lock on it. (doesn't matter, everyone in 20 miles knows the combination anyway). I've heard some bad stuff about using baking soda....like it makes carbon monoxide and may kill you in the end. I tried to buy potassium hydroxide in Albuquerque at 3 places and was told that they only sell it in 50 lb bags. You can buy it at : ARTCHEMICALS.COM for about $15 for 500grams. I plan to play around with the concentraitions till I get the most hho for my max amps,say, 25 or 30. Couple of spoonsfull,maybe? Wonder why you couldn't use wiper fluid in your bubbler for anti-freeze................? Thanx for the come-back.....Newguy/rmg

I have not bought my plans yet,but as soon as I figure out which plans are best,that will be a done deal. I read where some said something about baking soda corroding S.S.. I was going to ask if anyone had ever tried using
copper (plate or solid round stock),but that doesn't sound to practical now. If you know better,let me know. I would also like to hear your experinence with the plans you bought.

Hi Torpedo !

Copper, while a great conductor, is unacceptable because of the corrsive enviornment it must live in with the HHO machine. So far, stainless steel (preferably 316) is the best that most of the thinkers I have read have come up with. Check out the ebook by Robert Volk @ HYBRID WATER POWER. I bought it for $67 and have been delighted. One problem though...I can't contact the writer or staff AT ALL! I have tryed email,fax, and snail-mail with no reply as yet. Maybe just some type of snafu. Great book though !

Welcome. Check out Robert Volk's ebook: HYBRID WATER POWER...I learned a bunch and built my HHO machine to his specs. Havent been able to try it out yet on my 97 S-10 Blazer as I'm still waiting for some parts. I'm also building a bench-top machine which may be done in a week or so.
