HHO production and buildup of pressure?

Postby NuttyMonk on Mon Jun 22, 2009 2:37 pm

Hi all,

i'm new to all of this so this question might seem noobish.

Say you have a brute force HHO unit in a car which puts out 2 litres of HHO per minute and your car is idling. Could you get into a situation where more HHO is being produced than the car can use and you get a build up of HHO in the production cell? Or will a car always be sucking greedily for air and always remove far more HHO from the cell than you could produce?

If you could get a build up of pressure, how do you deal with that so that the cell doesn't get to a point where it wants to explode from the internal pressure?

Cheers

Hi John,
I am new to this too. I am building a two gallon unit, Intend to fit a relief valve. Blow off about 65 lbs. I don't see why it would stop the cell from working. Same as a compressor, that builds up to much pressure in the storage tank.
I would vent from the top of the vehicle, as being lighter than air. The hydrogen would rise and cause no trouble.
I plan to use a Ute, for a test vehicle. Put the HHO generator in the back.
As it is all Stainless Steel, I don't see heat as a problem.

John you might want to research a little about how much HHO is the best for your engine. My pickup runs really great on 3/4 liters a minute (that is only 7 amps) and I believe that if I went to 5 liters a minute the advantage would be very small. I believe there is a bell curve involved in the cubes of your engine and HHO needed for a balanced job. It is not always, if a little works good than more will work better, only to a certain point. If you are going with gallon jars and big amperage with lots of face for your H, then I think you are trying to turn you'r engine into a water-only-car. No oil residue in the combustian chamber is not a good idea. Most of our vehicles were made to run on poor quality oil based fuel, which leave a small trace of oil left in the cylinders after each fire.
