Hi All, I am a new user like some of the other members and this is the first blog I have ever used. So please cut me some slack.
I have been studying hydrogen generators and still have some things I have not been satisfied with some of the answers I have read.
How does the EHIE work?
How effective are the home made kits.

the e.f.i.e simply tricks the computer into thinking the fuel mixture is richer or leaner than it actually is.im just getting into the electronic end of this.found out one thing today.if you cant find an 02 stand-off anywhere a spark plug ext. will work on a 95 chevy.

Hello Pat I, think you may mean an EFIE ( electronic fuel injector enhancer or EFIE). A EFIE is
a variable voltage control device (working in millivolts) to balance the info (voltage) to the ecm which tells the injectors what to do or what is going on. This topic can become " Deep" , does it have 1,2,4 O2 sensors, is the ecm OBD1 or 2, is it a Quad ( I have a friend using a system on his Raptor)? So you see I need some specifics to try to keep it simple. There is a ton of info on, let me know if I can help if no one else will. E-H

If in layman terms how does the efie work:the o2 sensor is part of the program to control exhaust and engine performance. the program is set for gas only so the o2 sensor responds based on that, when you add hho you have to reprogram the system and the simplest way is the efie boards that send a modified signal to the cpu so fuel is controlled based on that signal.The newer multi flex fuel cars have this done by the bigboys but they wouldn't do that before and don't want you to.

As to the home made units basically all of these are home made the amount of output of the unit is the key as well as the quality of the components used with much needed safety features that are known by the true and good systems.To know which, means to research and base what you find on your own skill to see BS when it is sold,the real sites don't promise the sky and will explain what, when and why and most will tell you how to check it before you do it.
