EFIE tuning

Postby pdai11 on Mon Jun 29, 2009 8:36 am

Hi, does anyone has good experience on adjusting an EFIE. I seem to be having trouble setting it right although many sites states it should be around 200mv to 250mv. My engine only starts to buck at around 420mv to 430mv and ECL never appeared before. Every three days i do different settings right down to 100mv but no difference and everytime i reset my ECU as well. Another issue is, i am quite confused as people stating high or low settings, ie. if an EFIE is set at 200mv and i need it adjusted to 300mv, would that be setting lower as some people calls it high setting. Some just states you need a higher setting and do not explain a figure. I presumed higher means nearer to 1 volt ?

what type of EFIE do you have, because if you have the type with an adjustable range then you set it different to stop getting a check engine light, but you should stay under one volt on the o2 sensor, which means total volts to the ecu is no more than one volt. you can set adjustable range EFIES to not go over one volt total, so tell me what type u have and i will do my best to help you adjust it, just e mail me at billhac2003@yahoo.com and i will help you set it.
